Auburn Takes Title

Auburn closed out the championships in East Meadow, N.Y. with an NCAA record in the 100-meter freestyle by Ryan Wochomurka. On March 25, Auburn's Fred Bousquet broke the world record in the 50-meter freestyle.

    2000 NCAA Championship Meet: The NCAA meet, held in short course meters for the first time in history, saw the record books rewritten. Over the three day meet, two world records (50m back, 400m medley relay) and one world best (200m medley relay) were broken, as well as 11 American records.
