Tigers Roar to Third Straight Swimming and Diving Crown

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Auburn senior class closed out their collegiate swimming careers in style, leading their team to its third straight NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship on Saturday, March 20, in College Station, Texas. The Tigers closed the night with an individual NCAA title in the 200 backstroke and a total of 569 points, the most in program history and the highest total at the NCAA Championships since 1993. The Tigers took the crown by 138 points over second-place Georgia. More...
The Tigers amassed a total of 55 All-America honors, 20 of them from the senior class alone as AU scored in 20 of the 21 events with points coming from all 18 athletes at the championships.
With the victory, the Tigers became just the fourth team to capture three-straight titles in NCAA women’s swimming history.
